Chai Latte Oatmeal

My two favorite breakfast staples combined into one hearty and satisfying bowl! Warm chai latte flavors mixed with creamy oatmeal and topped with non dairy yogurt and chopped nuts!

  • 1 1/2 cup water
  • 2 chai tea bags
  • 1 1/2 cup non dairy milk
  • 1 1/2 cup gluten free rolled oats
  • 2-3 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/4 tsp all spice
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/2 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup non dairy yogurt
  • Chopped nuts to top

Serving Suggestion:

Serve warm topped with non dairy yogurt, chopped nuts, maple syrup and cinnamon! 

How To:

  1. To a small pot, add your water and two chai tea bags, heat on medium until the water starts to boil. Once bubbling, remove from heat and allow tea to steep for 3-5 minutes.
  2. Once tea is steeped, remove tea bags and bring water back to a simmer on medium heat.
  3. Then, add your non dairy milk and stir. Once milked is heated, add your gluten free rolled oats, maple syrup, spices and vanilla extract. Stir until fully combined.
  4. Continue to stir your oatmeal for 10 minutes, until mixture has thickened. Add a splash of non dairy milk as needed if oats thicken too quickly.
  5. Taste and adjust flavor as needed, adding more spices or maple syrup as needed.
  6. Divide evenly amongst your bowls, top with non dairy yogurt, a splash of non dairy milk, chopped nuts or extra spices. Serve and enjoy!
